WHY HIRE A DOG WASTE REMOVAL COMPANY?

The main reasons are health and peace of mind. With today’s busy life styles people tend to put the dog out to potty just before leaving for the day and again as soon as they get home. It is all too easy to put off picking up the poop until later. As with all good intentions, life happens and before you know it, several days have gone by and poop is left sitting in the yard.

Dog poop can be full of pathogens that can be passed to other dogs, children and even adults. These pathogens do not wash away in the rain, they go into the grass and wait for the opportunity to be picked up on skin, fur, shoes, and clothing. This is why Metro Vancouver wants dog poop to be processed at the waste treatment plant, not put in the garbage to go to the landfill.

Our services can be used by residential homeowners, renters, realtors, strata corporations, business owners, and municipalities.

DO I HAVE TO BE HOME WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING MY YARD?

No. Most people work during the day and since there is no reason for us to enter your house, there is no reason to rearrange your busy schedule to accommodate us. That being said, it would be nice to meet you and your dog on our first visit. We can schedule a convenient time. Just let us know.

DO I HAVE TO RESTRAIN MY DOG OR PUT HER IN THE HOUSE WHILE YOU ARE PICKING UP POOP?

Not unless she is a ruthless man-eating terror! We really love dogs and are quite happy to interact with them while we work.

IS THERE AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR THE FIRST DOG WASTE CLEANUP?

Normally no, but if it has been awhile since the yard was last cleaned and there is a large amount of accumulated dog waste that needs to be cleaned up, an initial dog waste cleanup fee may apply. We would be more than happy to come out and take a look at your yard and give you a no-obligation assesment.

AM I REQUIRED TO SIGN A LONG-TERM CONTRACT?

Absolutely not! We will ask you to sign a service agreement which outlines our rules of engagement and gives us permission to be on your property but that is all.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?

Prices vary according to the number of dogs you have, how many times a week you want us to clean, and the logistics of your yard. See the Services page of our website for a complete catalog of all our services and prices.

HOW AM I CHARGED FOR YOUR SERVICES?

The first time, call or email us to arrange an appointment for us to come out to your house to inspect the yard and meet you and your dog. We will give you a no-obligation assessment. If you want to buy one of our service packages, you can do so at that time. We accept Master Card, Visa, Cash or Cheque. Or buy directly here on our website where we accept Master Card, Visa, PayPal and Interac e-Transfers. Fees are prepaid for a one month period. Once payment is made, we will add you to our schedules and will show up to clean your yard on your appointed days.

 

On or about the fifteenth of each month, you will receive an emailed statement letting you know it is time to top up your account. Payment is due by the first of the following month. This gives you two weeks to make payment.A late fee of $5 may be applied to any account not paid by the first of the month.

If you are going to pay regularly by automatic debit to your credit card or by post dated cheques on file with us, your statements and payments will be processed on the first of each month.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING REALLY BAD WEATHER?

We will work in most kinds of weather except torrential rain, heavy snow or temperatures below -20°. If we have to miss your scheduled cleaning, your account will not be credited because there will be twice as much poop to pick up on our next visit. Service will resume on your next scheduled day, weather permitting.

WHAT ABOUT VACATION DAYS WHEN I NEED MY SERVICE SKIPPED?

Please give us at least 48 hours notice that you and the dog will be away. We will credit your account for the skipped days. Enjoy your vacation!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MOVE?

If you move to a location within our service area, we will simply continue your service at the new house. If you move out of our service area, you will receive a refund for any remaining service for which you prepaid.
